MYBJJ History

MYBJJ: Born from Resilience and Passion

MYBJJ, an acronym for "My Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu," is a martial arts academy that has a rich and inspiring origin story. Founded by a group of dedicated individuals driven by resilience and passion, MYBJJ stands as a testament to the power of perseverance and commitment in the face of challenges.

The journey of MYBJJ began with a vision to create a welcoming and inclusive space for individuals to learn and practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a martial art known for its focus on technique and leverage rather than size and strength.

The founders of MYBJJ believed in the transformative power of this martial art and were determined to share it with others in their community.

Through countless hours of hard work, dedication, and unwavering belief in their mission, MYBJJ grew from a small training group into a thriving academy that attracts students from all walks of life.

The resilience of the founders in overcoming obstacles and setbacks along the way has been instrumental in shaping MYBJJ into the respected institution it is today. At the core of MYBJJ's philosophy is the idea that martial arts training is not just about physical techniques, but also about personal growth, mental fortitude, and building a supportive community.

The passion that drives everyone involved with MYBJJ is palpable in every class, seminar, and competition they participate in. As MYBJJ continues to grow and evolve, one thing remains constant: its foundation in resilience and passion. These values are not just words on a wall but are ingrained in the very fabric of MYBJJ's culture, shaping the experiences of all who walk through its doors.

MYBJJ: Born from Resilience and Passion

Established in October 2021, MYBJJ was the result of a collaborative effort between martial arts enthusiasts Azrai Ahmad, Fairus Musa, Khairul Ridzwan, Zawawi Rahizai, and Prof Marco Oliveira. The idea to launch MYBJJ took root during the challenging times of the COVID era, a period where physical fitness, mental resilience, and community were needed more than ever.

Despite the uncertainty, the team was determined to bring Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and other martial arts to a broader audience in Malaysia. MYBJJ was built to provide a safe, professional space for students of all levels to train, grow, and develop their skills in martial arts.

Today, MYBJJ stands as a testament to the power of teamwork, dedication, and the belief that challenges can create opportunities for greatness.
