April 2024: MYBJJ's Second Blue Belt Graduation & Beyond

Blue Belt BJJ

April 2024 was a pivotal moment in MYBJJ's history as we proudly conducted our second blue belt exam and graduation ceremony. Led by the esteemed Professor Marco Oliveira, five of our committed students - Nezza, Jeremy, Syahmi, Ceasar, and Simon - successfully attained the prestigious blue belt rank in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

This moment was the culmination of years of consistent training, hard work, and personal growth, both on and off the mats.

Getting the blue belt in BJJ is a big deal! It shows you've nailed the basics and have the grit and discipline to make it in this martial art. At the exam, these students really showed off their skills, creativity, and how much they're committed to getting better. Bagging that blue belt is a testament to their love for the sport and their embodiment of the BJJ spirit.

Professor Marco Oliveira, a cornerstone of MYBJJ, expressed his pride in their growth and dedication, noting how these individuals have consistently pushed their limits and exemplified what it means to be a martial artist.

A Few Months Later: More Success on the International Stage

Blue Belts

Following an impressive accomplishment, MYBJJ continued to gain recognition on the global platform a few months later. Two exceptional students, Nurul and Wei Wen, achieved their blue belts after participating in the esteemed IBJJF Championship. Both athletes secured gold medals in the gi division, highlighting their unwavering dedication, expertise, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

Their blue belts were not only a result of their performance at the championship but also a reflection of their enduring commitment to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the philosophy of continual enhancement. Competing at such a prominent event, Nurul and Wei Wen represented MYBJJ admirably, showcasing the effectiveness of their training and the solidarity within the MYBJJ community.

Celebrating Growth and Achievement

The blue belt journey is not the end, but the beginning of a deeper exploration of BJJ, and we are proud to watch Nezza, Jeremy, Syahmi, Ceasar, Simon, Nurul, and Wei Wen continue to evolve. As our community grows stronger, we remain committed to fostering a supportive environment where every student can achieve their full potential.

Congratulations to all our blue belt recipients—your hard work has paid off, and the MYBJJ family couldn’t be prouder! Keep pushing, keep growing, and remember—this is just the start of the adventure.
